Themed Jazz Programs
We have about a dozen special themed jazz programs.
Some are suitable for themed evening in a restaurant.
Others are great for a jazz concert in an arts centre, village hall or jazz club.
Here is the list, in no particular order.
1) Max's French Cafe Music French chansons, musettes, waltzes & jazz.
2) New Orleans & Trad Jazz our versions of some good old tunes from the beginnings of jazz mixed in with some that featured in the British Trad Revival of the 1950's & 60's.
3) Tribute to Benny Goodman our take on tunes played by The King of Swing
4) Projet Brassens - an introduction to Georges Brassens Maxine introduces the songs in English, then sings them in French.
5) Latin Jazz Party trio, quartet, quintet. The quintet is good for dancing.
6) Swing & Singalong we play swinging jazz then we hand out the song sheets.
7) Charlie Hearnshaw Quartet classic jazz quartet. Tunes by Charlie & jazz standards.
8) Gypsy Jazz a mixture of Hot Club, Klesma and Eastern European Gypsy tunes; ça swing!
9) Jazz & Carols we play jazzed-up christmas songs & jazz and then hand out the carol sheets.
10) Maxine Green Sings Jazz Standards plus a few French songs and some of our own tunes too.
11) Jazz Beatles & Their Contemporaries Duo
12) Jazz Piano solo, duo, trio or quartet with Charlie on piano

Theodore
The band has a large repertoire of French music.
1) Max's French Cafe Music French chansons, musettes, waltzes & jazz is great as background music for a French evening.
4) Projet Brassens' concert set "An introduction to Georges Brassens" has proved popular with twinning organisations and French societies. Maxine introduces the songs in English, then sings them in French. You don't have to speak French to enjoy a Projet Brassens concert.
